Indigenous elders bring Crescent Head roadworks to a halt to protect cultural sites at Point Plomer Road

Work sealing a dirt road on the New South Wales Mid North Coast has been temporarily suspended after traditional owners of the land sought an injunction under the Heritage Protection Act.

The Dunghutti people have been fighting against the tarring of Point Plomer Road, south of Crescent Head, for more than two years.
