Training Services NSW has created the Aboriginal Initiatives unit to manage a number of programs. These programs focus on providing workplace mentoring, improving access to employment and training and creating business opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

IBA offers an online learning course to assist Indigenous entrepreneurs to progress their ideas for business at their own pace. All the materials are provided via IBA’s online Learning Place platform, so participants can easily access them from anywhere with internet access.

This qualification is suited to those working as administrators and project officers. In this role, individuals use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. 

This qualification allows for the attainment of occupational specific competencies for those working in operational roles without supervision in the public sector. Graduates at this level will apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, judgement, and limited responsibility with established parameters.

The Melbourne Business School is offering a course designed for Indigenous entrepreneurs and professionals.

Native Title Operations and Management Training (NTOMT) is a FREE, one-of-its-kind workshop teaching Traditional Owners how to grow and leverage their PBCs as a business. NTOMT is organised by the National Native Title Council (NNTC), together with our partners at RMIT, AIATSIS and Melbourne Business School. The training is delivered by leading business, native title and marketing experts.

Training courses at various levels covering a wide range of topics including:

* Conservation and land management

* Community service

Effective crisis management requires coordination and command of resources and personnel from many different organisations and agencies, from cross jurisdictional areas.
