The Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC holds land in trust for the Kuruma Marthudunera people of Western Australia. Their native title rights and interests were recognised in Finlay on behalf of the Kuruma Marthudunera People v State of Western Australia (No 2) [2016] FCA 1260 (Finlay 2016) on the 1 November 2016. A consent determination was reached by the Kuruma Marthudunera people and the State of Western Australia which was designated as Kuruma Marthudunera Part A (KM Part A) , with both parties agreeing no determination be made yet on Kuruma Marthudunera Part B (KM Part B). The consent determination (KM Part A) recognised exclusive and non-exclusive rights and interests to an area of approximately 4,123 square kilometres consisting largely of unallocated Crown land located in the Hamersley Ranges, and also includes a portion of Yalleen and Mt Stuart pastoral stations and a portion of Reserve 38991.

In Finlay on behalf of the Kuruma Marthudunera Peoples v State of Western Australia [2018] FCA 548 (Finlay 2018), a consent determination was reached, which recognised the Kuruma Mathundunera people's native title rights and interests in relation to KM Part B. 

In Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC v State of Western Australia [2021] FCA 20, the determination in Finlay 2018 was varied to recognise the right of exclusive possession over the entire area known as Marti Marti Yinta. Part of this area had been accidentally omitted from the application in Finlay 2018.
