Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, in partnership with Charles Darwin University (CDU), has offered the following courses in Applied Social Science: Diploma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledges (YATSI1); Bachelor of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advocacy (BATSIA); Associate Degree of Applied Social Science (XASSO1), Bachelor of Applied Social Science (WASSO1).

This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services.

This Series has been designed to help those who would like to improve their key communication skills in four short 1.5-hour online training sessions. Each comes with pre-work, a workbook to use as we travel through the session and post-work in the form of reflective questions for participants to answer and share with their teams if they choose.

The Diploma of Business Studies is designed to reflect general business degree course objectives and build towards the graduate attributes of Charles Darwin University. These attributes describe creative, flexible and socially responsible graduates who are able to acquire, understand and apply concepts and knowledge with a high level of skills in communication, leadership and team work.

This qualification reflects the role of personnel working in community coordination and facilitation, which focuses on fostering, promoting and supporting community development, particularly in rural communities that are engaged in land management activities.

The Diploma of Educational Studies is a versatile one year qualification that provides you with opportunities to undertake a range of roles in diverse educational settings. Depending on state and territory requirements these include: supporting teachers in school age education (education aide, teacher's aide and assistant teacher) or working as an educator in out of school hours care services.

This qualification covers the competencies required for independent and self-directed work in the public sector. It is suited to those working in an environment where there is a range of responsibilities which are diverse in nature rather than within a narrow specialization and/or they work in small or regionally based organisations.

Produced through a collaboration between Mental Health Victoria, Health Justice Australia, Mental Health Legal Centre and First Step, the webinar will introduce participants to the concept of Health Justice Partnerships, demonstrate how they work in practice with the aid of practical examples, and provides advice on how services can benefit from a tailored partnership approach.
