The Academic Leaders phase offers scholarships and support to assist talented Indigenous students enter credible academic institutions and graduate with a standard of excellence. 

Boardroom Mastery is a challenging, transformative experience for those who already have a deep understanding of governance, director roles and boardroom responsibilities.

AICD offers a range of courses designed for the professional development of company directors. Courses topics such as governance, finance and strategy and risks and are of varying lengths, including short intensive courses, residential courses, webinars and e-learning options.

This qualification is suitable for individuals working as board members, contact officers and senior staff within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. It also applies to public servants working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boards of governance.

IBA offers an online learning course to assist Indigenous entrepreneurs to progress their ideas for business at their own pace. All the materials are provided via IBA’s online Learning Place platform, so participants can easily access them from anywhere with internet access.

The purpose of the cultural heritage database is to:

• assemble information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage in a central and accessible location; and
• provide a research and planning tool to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parties, researchers and other persons assess the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage values of particular areas.

The Company Directors Course provides a comprehensive overview of the roles and duties of board directors and includes topics on the legal environment, the director mindset, strategy and risk, financial performance, decision making, board and organisational culture, board dynamics and measuring board effectiveness.

FNQ Volunteers Inc. compiles information on upcoming training events for community organisations in the Far North Queensland region.

Indigenous community fellowship is aimed at Indigenous people working in community organisations who wish to undertake a research project and build their research capability.

The IMW and its strategic partners are dedicated to the development and advancement of culturally appropriate and inclusive geospatial technologies for Indigenous leadership, agencies, and communities to support Indigenous rights and interests.

This workshop looks at corporate governance for members and directors of corporations. It provides an introduction to the key aspects of running a corporation and focuses on topics such as: finance and responsibilities of directors.

Milparanga, an 11-day, two session program held in different locations in Australia, encourages and enables Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to engage in powerful and different conversations. The program aims to support Indigenous Australian leaders to: grow as an individual, develop their leadership capabilities including governance and decision making, co-create robust conversations for powerful shifts across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander landscape and broaden their perspectives and act together for the greater good.
