The Tjamu Tjamu Aboriginal Corporation, located in Perth, administers land on behalf of the Kiwirrkurra people of the Western Desert. Their ownership over the land was recognised in the Kiwirrkurra People determination of 2001.

This determination arose from a native title claim filed by Jimmy Brown on behalf of the Kiwirrkurra People in 1995. Over six years, the parties negotiated an agreement to resolve the native title claim. All parties agreed to recognise the native title rights of the Kiwirrkurra people, including the non-exclusive right to possession, use, occupation and control.

This agreement was affirmed and approved by the Federal Court in 2001.
